Fostering creativity for 3-5 year olds

At GBH Kids, I am the lead games designer on the PBS Kids production, Pinkalicious and Peterrific. Originating from a popular children’s book series by Victoria Kann, the show inspires kids to express their creativity through the visual and performing arts. The games provide kids with open-ended, sandbox play through drawing, creating music, playing pretend, and more!

Pinkamagical Fairy Houses

Kids use a variety of materials and natural objects to construct a fairy village! For this project, I led the UX (wireframes + game flow), crafted the visual design + UI, illustrated assets to supplement existing art from the show, and built character + prop animations throughout the game.

Splashtastic Beach Day

Players can join Pinkalicious for a day at the beach! This experience features beach-themed mini games, allowing kids to build their own sand castle, explore tide pools and more.

Pinkamusical Garden

This whimsical garden game encourages kids to experiment with different sounds + instruments to create musical masterpieces. For this game, I helped create UI, assets and character animations.

Pinkatastic Stickers

Kids can draw, color and animate their own stickers, add them to different scenes, and then watch them come to life! This was one of the first games I designed at GBH Kids, and I contributed wireframes, game flow, UI design and the quirky animations seen for each sticker.

Pinkamazing Family Game

Inspired by classic charades, this multi-player game encourages creativity and connection between grown-ups and kids. Players must draw, sing, dance and act out prompts, and then their peers vote on their performance. For this game, I was responsible for mapping the game flow, creating the visual design, and adding juicy animation to the UI and the characters.
